POPULUS TREMULOIDES
Grower Notes:
Populus tremuloides is commonly referred to as Quaking Aspen, Trembling Aspen, American Aspen, Mountain or Golden Aspen. It is a deciduous tree that is native to cooler areas of the US. They feature very tall trunks with smooth, greenish-white bark. Its glossy green leaves have long leaf stalks that allow them to quake in the breeze, making a sound like falling water. Foliage becomes attractive golden yellow in fall.
Quaking Aspen thrives in full sun in sandy, loamy, evenly evenly moist, well-drained soils.
